Combined Application of Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy and Stem Cell Transplant
The patient began to have symmetrical edema in back limbs and eyelids. This symptom was serious in the morning, but mild in the afternoon. At that time, he did not have the following symptoms: back pain, increased urination, urgent urination, urine pain, gross hematuria, sore throat, cold or fever, stomachache or diarrhea and rush. He went to the local hospital to receive treatment. The urine routine examination showed: PRO+3 BLD-. He was diagnosed with Nephritis and did not receive treatment in the local hospital. Then he transferred to Hebei Province Second Hospital to receive treatment. The relative examination showed: B.P (160/100mmHg), Urine protein (+++), urine protein 4.9 grams/24 hours. Then he received renal biopsy. The result showed that his kidney had mesangial proliferative lesion and had HBV antigen deposited in kidney region. The doctors suggested Mr. Wang go to higher-level hospital to receive diagnosis and treatment so he went to Beijing University of Hospital to receive treatment. In the hospital he was diagnosed with Type Ⅲcollagen glomerular disease. However, he did not have improvement after a period of treatment. So he transferred to China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) of 301 Hospital and also did not have obvious improvement. After a long-time useless treatment, he went to our hospital. After entering hospital, he received relative lab examinations. The results were as follows:
Urine routine examination: PRO (3+), BLD (+-); urinary protein (4.86g/24h); liver function examination: TP 33.6g/L, ALB16.8g/L, cholesterol (6.16mmol/L). In the later days, he received 45-minute Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy for two times per day meanwhile receiving antihypertensive treatment. Then he was infused with umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell and cold blood multipotent stem cell respectively. After leaving our hospital, he still received the consolidation therapy of Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy and treatment for symptoms for 9 months. During treatment, he went to our hospital five times for recheck. The lab examination results were as follows:
Urine test and biochemistry test
1. Kidneys’ blood perfusion declines
2. Glomerular filtration rate reduces and the filtrating function of kidneys is damaged seriously (the total GFR of two kidneys is 51ml/min)
3. Upper urinary tract excrete smoothly
1. The blood perfusion of right kidney declines and left kidney’ blood perfusion recovers.
2. Glomerular filtration rate declines and the filtrating function of kidneys have moderate damage (total GFR is 57ml/min
3. Upper urinary tracts secrete smoothly
The third time of ECT result (2011-5-24)
1. The blood perfusion of right kidney declines slightly and the blood perfusion of left kidney is normal.
2. Glomerular filtration rate declines slightly and the kidney function has slight damage (the total GFR is about 64ml/min)
Collangen Ⅲ Glomerulopathy is a kind of special glomerular disease. This disease was firstly reported by Japanese scholar Arakawa in 1979. So far, Japan, France, America, Italy, Australia have reports about this disease and the whole patient cases are 26. In China, there are 6 cases reported. In the traditional therapy, the patients can only treat their symptoms simply. Our hospital breaks through the traditional therapy and adopted effective treatment of this disease. Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy and Stem Cell Transplant improve patients’ internal environment. Therefore, the filtrating function of kidney is improved and urine protein declines obviously. Therefore, the patients get a good therapeutic effect. The combined application of Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy fills in the gap in treating this disease. It proves that our combined application of Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy also has a good effect in treating common kidney diseases and other miscellaneous kidney diseases.
